Now, put the latex nose on the Mastix and gently press it. You shouldn't press too hard on the edges until the latex nose is in the right place. Use your fingertips to press down the Mastix onto the latex prosthetic. You can use a brush handle to smoothen the transition between your skin and the latex prosthetic. The Mastix can be dried faster by using warm, gentle, dry air. It is often helpful to add another coat of spirit gum around the edges for larger prosthetic pieces. To get the right look, first slip the latex ears on top of your ears. Next, find the best place to put them. To make the transition smoother, you can use a pair of nail scissors to remove some of the inner ear areas. Apply a thin layer of Mastix spirit to your ears, particularly at the point where the latex ears meet. Make sure the entire thing is thick enough. If it is less than a millimeter thick, you can apply it on the day you plan to use it. Before you use it, make sure the liquid latex is properly vented. The ammonia can be vented by shaking the bottle and keeping it open for between 5-10 minutes.

Once the Mastix has dried and formed threads, place the latex ear on your own ear. Firmly press the contact points of the ear with your fingertips. To remove any Mastix from the edge of the latex, dip a cotton bud in Mastix remover. To make the transition between your skin, and the latex prosthetic pieces virtually invisible, you can apply make-up. You will be able to use your latex prosthetic pieces over and over again if you take care of them properly. After you've taken off your latex prosthetic, wash it well to get rid of any make-up or spirit gum. Mastix remover, rubbing alcohol for spirit gum and warm water with soap are some of the options.
You must seal the edges to prevent plaster from leaking. Your latex prosthetic piece should be kept in a dry, dark place. When they are stored, latex products must be protected from frost, moisture and extreme heat. They can be reused and stored in the original packaging.

They are available in many brands at most arts and craft shops. Unfortunately, not all sales staff know the brands they sell so I have attached a list of brands that I know. It's been October so I have only used latex. Aside from that, I was praised by both fellow haunters as well as audience members. Latex is a great material to use to blend edges. It doesn't require any special chemicals and can be removed easily. You can just cut off any latex pieces without worrying about the prosthesis.
If the latex edges are still not lifting, wait until the Mastix Remover is finished. Once the bond has become weak enough to be removed, gently pull the latex prosthetic off. Mastix spirit gum can be left on your skin if it isn't removed with Mastix remover.
